Good Afternoon,

We are writing today with important information on the status of Schools for Monday Februrary 11, 2013. All District Schools and Events PK-12 will be closed for classes tomorrow February 11, 2013. This also includes all evening activities.

Our District Leadership team has worked closely with public safety officials during the duration of the past storm. Currently two of our buildings remain without power. We are coordinating with local DPW and Highway officials to enable us, when ready, to ensure students safely arrive at buildings.

Prior to opening we will be sending updates via this system, and posting online changes we will make to our transportation system and parent drop off to enable us to safely and efficiently get students to buildings. Once ready to open we will communicate this information with postings to our web site, and via this medium. We encourage you to closely review as we anticipate many adjustments.

There are many downed wires in our community, please remember to treat all wires as live. The High School building is open as a warming center until 8pm only if needed for residents who remain without power and heat. For overnight shelter options Whitman residents should call Whitman Emergency Operations Center at 781-447-7682. Hanson Residents should call Hanson Dispatch at 781-293-4625.  Only emergencies should be called to 911.
