With a significant weather event approaching on Friday, in consultation with our local public safety officials Whitman-Hanson will be officially closed on Friday. This includes all PK-12 classes, Athletics, and building use events.
Additionally, all building use events for both Saturday Feburary 9th and Sunday February 10th are also cancelled.
Our local public safety officials recommend everyone should have ample supplies and continue to monitor the media for updated information on the storm. National Grid has advised our communities the possibility of widespread power outages is very likely, and that residents should plan for a possible power outage in excess of 72 hours. Please remember to treat all downed power lines as if they were live.
Please be advised that both communities will implement a town wide street parking ban and that residents are requested to dig out any nearby fire hydrants which may become covered in snow.
We will provide additional information as needed.
