Whitman-Hanson Regional School District calling. We are callling staff and parents today with important information regarding the status of school for tomorrow.Due to contined power concerns, there will be NO SCHOOL, grades PK-12, for Tuesday Feb 12, 2013. Central Office employees and essential departments are expected to report for work as normal.Currently 70% of the Town of Hanson remains without power. National Grid currently has several tree and line crews working on the issue and at this time it may take until Wednesday, if not longer, for full restoration. In Whitman approximately only 30 residents remain without power.Residents are asked to please dig out any nearby fire hydrants which are covered with snow. In the event of a fire emergency, access to these is critical.As this message is only sent to school department contacts, we ask you to please share this inofrmation with neighbors who may not have power or working telephone systems.Again, NO SCHOOL, Grades PK-12 for Whitman-Hanson Regional Schools on Tuesday Feb 12, 2013.Whitman-Hanson Administration
