Fwd: Public Notices EEE Spraying Scheduled for Tonight Thurs., Aug. 5th

Below is a message from Michael Coughlin of the Department of Public Health regarding EEE Spraying.  Hanson is scheduled to be sprayed this evening.

Good Afternoon,

As of now (4:30 PM) the Department of Agriculture is still planning to conduct aerial spraying this evening, beginning around 8:00 PM and continuing until around 3:00 AM, weather permitting.

They have provided us with a map that identifies the communities that will not be sprayed tonight.

The map also identifies the communities that will be sprayed (all or in part) tonight, weather permitting.

WILL BE SPRAYED either completely OR IN PART ON AUGUST 5 (and possibly in part on a subsequent night):  Bridgewater, Carver, East Bridgewater, Halifax, Hanson, Lakeville, Marion, Mattapoisset, Middleborough; Pembroke, Plympton, Rochester, Wareham, West Bridgewater (yellow zone on the attached map).

WILL NOT BE SPRAYED ON AUGUST 5:  Acushnet, Berkeley, Dartmouth, Duxbury; Easton, Fairhaven, Freetown, Kingston, New Bedford, Norton, Plymouth, Raynham; and Taunton  (Green Zone on the attached map)

In the event DAR cancels the spraying I will send out a new email immediately and a HHAN alert as soon as possible.

Tomorrow we will distribute an update on the progress of the spraying and plans for spraying on the evening on August 6.

Thank you.  Have a good evening.  Please go to www.mass.gov/dph for additional information on aerial spraying for EEE.
