Activities for Hanson's 2ND Hanson Day are coming together and a fun filled day is on the horizon.The event is being held from 1:00 PM. to 5:00 PM.~ Some of the great things being sponsored are: A Monkey Bridge - Boy Scout Troop #34, Broadcasting Live - Radio Station -AMP 103, Archery Demonstration - Hanson Rod and Gun, Fingerprinting Children for Personal Identification – CERT, Line Dancing, Karate Demonstration – American Kempo Karate, Yoga Demonstrations, Balloonist sponsored by the Clerical Union, Red Sox Tickets Raffle, Bounce House and Basketball Throw – Courtesy of Country Rental, ~Music and Motion DJ and Entertainment, Plymouth County Sherriff's Department K9 Demo and so much more.
Line Dancing– 1-3pm – Needles LodgeBoss Academy Dance Routine – 3pm –Needles LodgeMusic and Motion DJ and Entertainment – Food Court Area 1-5pmAMP Radio Station – Outside Lodge – 2-4pmTrail Walks – 1:30 and 3pm – meet at the Green Hanson Station
Food will be available at the event. Boy Scout Troop #1 - Hamburgers and hotdogs, Camp Fire USA – ~S 'mores,~sandwiches by the Hanson Kiwanis Club,~ Bake Sale by Green Hanson and Boy Scout Troop, and Hanson Recreation Commission – coffee
Hanson Recreation Commission member Sue Lonergan said~~ "This is our second year and people are excited to participate in this wonderful event.~ We are thrilled by the participation of so many Hanson organizations who will be on hand demonstrating all of the wonderful things that they do for our town". Those organizations include the following: Hanson Historical Society, Kiwanis Club, South Shore Regional Technical School, Hanson Fire, Hanson Police Department, Green Hanson, Food Pantry, and so many more.
Since there will be no parking at Camp Kiwanee, buses will be available from Indian Head School and Maquan School beginning at 12:45 PM.
Three buses will be on hand to get everyone into and out of Camp Kiwanee safely. Only people with handicapped stickers will be allowed to park at the facility."We would love to see all town residents attend this fun filled event. I am proud of the Recreation Commission and all of the organizations who are working so hard at establishing a day where all citizens can come together and share in the all that is great about Hanson" Said Ron San Angelo.
