Safety and Security in Today's Schools: A District-wide Conversation

Dear Whitman-Hanson Parents/Guardians:

The Safety and Security of our students and staff is a top priority in the Whitman-Hanson Regional School District. Teaching and learning are most effective in safe learning environments.  On December 2, the District's Leadership Team, in collaboration with Officers Kevin Harrington (WPD) and Bill Frazier (HPD), are presenting the program, Safety and Security in Today's Schools: A District-wide Conversation. The purpose of the meeting is to share information with parents and guardians about current research regarding school safety, including information about ALICE, a program that is effective in increasing survival rates during a violent intruder event.  All are welcome to attend.

Date: December 2, 2014

Time: 6:00 PM

Location: John F. McEwan Performing Arts Center, WHRHS

No cost child care will be provided by the Old Colony YMCA in the WHRHS library. Children must be toilet trained.
