FYI any one living in Hanson that has a mortgage with Bank of America might have a huge issue to try and resolve with the tax escrow department. If you have your mortgage with them then like me, you probably got your new Escrow Account Review in the mail. And maybe like me, you almost had heart failure when you looked at what your New Monthly Home Loan Payment effective November has increased to. My payment went from $1,411.91 to $1,839.29!!! OMFG!!!! What the H is going on here!!!! This would mean my taxes went from $4,490.08 to $7,430.81!!
I called town hall and was explained that since Hanson now collects quarterly instead of semi-annual that Bank of America is calculating wrong!! Thank God!!!
So I promptly give good ol Bank of America a call & explain to 5 different representatives the mis-calculations and how to fix the issue and they can call Town Hall to verify, etc., etc...
Well, after an hour and a half of this and 5 different reps, I get to talk to the Escrow Specialist Department! LOL
Well needless to say, she was of no help either and my only solution as far as I was concerned, was to escrow my own dam taxes! I canceled my escrow account with them just like I had to do a few years ago with my home insurance escrow because of a similar issue.
I will pay my taxes myself, thank you!
Hopefully if you are not eligible to cancel your escrow, you can somehow get these idiots to fix their calculations and correct your tax escrow. I sure as hell pay enough in taxes and I wasn't going to let BOA make me pay double!
Bank of America is the bank of nightmares!
