Position:                       Part-time Disposal Area Attendant

Salary Range:           $15.00 - $21.00

Work Schedule:          8 hours every other – Saturday or

                                As may be scheduled by the Department Head

                                (Coverage for sick and vacation)

• Job Specifications:     The Disposal Area Attendant will perform duties under the supervision of the Senior Disposal Area Attendant.  Said position will assist the Senior Disposal Area Attendant and Recycling Coordinator with the operations of the Transfer Station in accordance to all related regulations under the General Supervision of the Board of Health and Town Personnel Manager. Pursuant to Regulations 310 CMR 19.00 and Town of Hanson By-Law Article 3-1
• This position involves the monitoring of the Town trash disposal and recycling facilities for residents of the Town. The employee is expected to perform the duties in a professional manner. As an employee of the Town, the employee is expected to be courteous at all times and represent the Town in a professional and positive manner.
• Some physical effort involved in performing duties under all weather conditions.
  

Skills/Qualifications:  A minimum a High School Graduate or Equivalency Diploma.  Experience in operation and management of Disposal Facility equipment preferred.  Ability to work effectively with the public and direct others appropriately in capacity of day to day management of a Transfer Station.  A combination of education or experience will satisfy qualification requirements.
