First Annual Adult Spellling Bee sponsored by
Whitman Hanson Education Foundation
On February 5th, 2011 from 5-9 PM the Whitman-Hanson Education Foundation will be holding its first annual Adult Spelling Bee in the Whitman-Hanson Regional High School's Performing Arts Center. We are hoping that this event will bring our diverse community together for a wonderful fundraising event. Businesses, PTOs, neighborhood and community groups, town and public safety organizations, are all encouraged to form teams and/or to sponsor teams of up to eight Spellers. Teams will compete against each other in "swarms" of up to eight teams. The winner of each swarm will then compete in the Championship Swarm. Teams can be sponsored by individuals, groups, and businesses. Sponsors can pull together their own team members or sponsor another group of individuals such as the Police Department or Fire Department, reading groups, neighborhood groups, sports groups, school groups, clergy, etc.,.. Competition will be intense to win the coveted Bee trophy as well as the prize for best costume.The entry fee for each team is $150 and is tax-deductible.
