PUBLIC HEALTH NOTICE

Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE)

The Town of Hanson is at HIGH RISK for the mosquito-borne illness, including Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE).

The Department of Public Health strongly recommends that all outdoor activities be curtailed during the hours surrounding dusk and dawn.

If you have to go outdoors during those hours, be sure to wear protective clothing with long sleeves and use mosquito repellant with DEET.

Consequently, until further notice, all Town sponsored activities on Town property will be suspended from dusk until dawn.
