"Cherishing America's memories
through Exploration and Discovery"

To cherish something is to hold it close to one's heart, and it is for this reason that we chose to use this word to describe how we would like our families to view American history; it is their history, intertwined with their family's stories and traditions. Memories are personal and have an emotional and significant impact on all people.
We will strive to achieve the goal of connecting Americans to their history in an interesting and pertinent way by using play and family involvement as means to instill the love of history. The case for play as a means for learning is documented in major educational research done all over the world. Not only is it therapeutic, it is also an avenue for children and their families to communicate effectively.
