Good Evening,
This is an important message from the Hanson Board of Health regarding the threat of mosquito borne diseases.
In an effort to reduce the threat of human exposure to mosquito-borne illnesses such as EEE and the West Nile Virus, the Hanson Board of Health, upon recommendation from the Department of Public Health, has voted to place a 6:30pm - 6:00am curfew for all outdoor activities on Town owned properties including Boteri Field/Skate Park, Hancock Field, LZ Thomas School Field, Memorial Field and Robinson Field. This curfew will remain in effect until the first hard frost.
We strongly encourage all residents to continue to use insect repellant, cover up exposed skin and avoid being outdoors at dusk and after nightfall when mosquitoes are at their most active.
Additional information is posted on the Town of Hanson website at www.hanson-ma.gov
Thank You
